Contract: Permanent, Full – Time (40 hours per week), Term time only, all holidays paid (we would consider job share)
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 9.00pm to 7.00am
Salary: £27,404 – £28,792 (Including allowance)

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Childcare Officer to join our passionate residential team. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, development, and well-being of children during the night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support up to 15 children per night, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Administer medication and manage sleeping and toileting plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement personal development plans.
- Maintain records, prepare resources, and contribute to a tidy, welcoming environment.
- Participate in staff training and help mentor new recruits.
- Follow safeguarding policies and maintain confidentiality.
What we are looking for:
- A caring professional with an NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People (or willingness to train).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with children, especially those with special educational or speech and language needs, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and health & safety practices.
