I CAN submit its recommendations to the Government's Spending Review

I CAN, the children’s communication charity, calls on the Government to offer more support for children who struggle with speaking and understanding in their submission to the Comprehensive Spending Review.

The charity sets out its three key recommendations that it would like to see implemented to ensure that the 1.5 million children who struggling with their speaking and understanding language aren't left behind.

The three recommendations from I CAN are:

• Investing in catch up support across the ages that works and supports early intervention
• Early intervention must be matched by Early Identification.
• Further investment in speech and language throughout the Spending Review cycle
