You’re invited! Join our Talk Boost webinar

We’re giving educators the opportunity to attend an interactive webinar on Talk Boost, our proven speaking and understanding intervention programmes.

Did you know that 1.5 million children are struggling with their speaking and understanding as they return to classrooms this September?

Our recent report, Speaking Up for the Covid Generation, found that both primary and secondary teachers are concerned that, without further support, these children are at risk of being left with lower grades, poor job opportunities, increased mental health concerns and higher rates of offending.*

At I CAN, we have strong evidence that our Talk Boost intervention programmes can help the majority of children improve their speaking and understanding.

What is Talk Boost?

Differentiated for nursery, KS1 and KS2-aged children, each Talk Boost programme involves activities that children can do in a group with a staff member – with almost two thirds of children catching up with their peers after just eight to 10 weeks.*

A well-known and popular resource, the Talk Boost programmes are being successfully used in thousands of education settings across the UK.

Announcing our improved online tracker

All Talk Boost programmes include an online pupil progress tracker, which allows you to monitor children’s progress before, during and after the intervention.

With a major update to the tracker released earlier this month, organisations can now access enhanced reporting and the option to get aggregate data from multiple schools.

Join the webinar to learn more

Following great feedback on our Talk Boost webinar earlier in the year, we’re giving educators another opportunity to learn more about the intervention programmes and get their questions answered by an I CAN Speech and Language Advisor, Jon Gilmartin.

Taking place on Wednesday 13 October at 4pm, the 45-minute live webinar will give you the opportunity to:

  • Discover everything you need to know about whether Talk Boost is right for your setting.
  • Receive a practical demonstration of how to use Talk Boost in a nursery or school environment.
  • Learn from a professional Speech and Language Therapist how to get the most from the interventions and our new online tracker.

We have limited places for this event, so be sure to reserve your place now – click here to sign up

*I CAN commissioned polling company YouGov to survey 1,000 primary and secondary school teachers online from across the UK to determine how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted children’s speaking and understanding.
