EYPDP Programme Trainer - Early Years Professional Development Programme

Location: Home based (successful candidates must be based in the UK)

Salary: £38,894-£40,863 (full time, 52 weeks per year)

Contract: Fixed term – Spring and Summer terms 2024

Start date: January 2024

We are Speech and Language UK (formerly I CAN) – we want every child to face the future with confidence. For 1.7 million children in the UK learning to talk and understand words feels like an impossible hurdle. We want to reach children earlier to make sure every child has the skills to face the future. We design innovative tools and training for nursery staff and teachers, give families the confidence and skills to help their child and put pressure on politicians to prioritise support for children.

Are you passionate about Early Years practice? Do you want to be part of an exciting programme that supports Early Years Practitioners (EYPs) to improve the life chances of young children?

We’re thrilled to be working with the Education Development Trust (EDT) to deliver Phase 3 of the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP). Through this programme funded by the DfE we are providing a blended mix of online e-Learning and facilitated webinars for up to 10,000 EYPs and are in a position to recruit more trainers.

The webinars are delivered across morning, afternoon and evenings 7 days per week. EYPs receive training in three learning modules Communication and Language, early Mathematics and Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED). This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in embedding the best practice to support our youngest children and give them the best start in learning.

We’re keen to recruit Programme Trainers who will:

  • Deliver the pre-prepared online training webinars to groups of Early Years Practitioners
  • Provide support to practitioners between webinars

We’d be delighted to hear from you if you:

  • are an experienced Early Years teacher /Early Years Practitioner (level 5 and above) / Speech and Language therapist with appropriate professional registration / Early Years Ofsted Inspector / Local Authority or Consultant Early Years Advisor.
  • have an excellent knowledge and understanding of early years practice including the Early Years Foundation Stage/Development Matters and subject specific knowledge related to Communication and Language, Maths and PSED.
  • have experience of delivering online training and supporting practitioners to embed good practice.
  • are available on a part-time, full-time evening or weekend basis.
