I was offered the opportunity to speak with an advisor from Speech and Language UK for further support, which I jumped at as I knew our local wait times to speak with a Speech and Language Therapist were around 9 months. I was given a telephone appointment within a few weeks.

They listened to my concerns and reassured me that all children develop differently. They emailed me some support tools to help promote language development which were really useful and they helped me to identify things that my husband and I could do differently to help William.”
