Where does your money go?

Find out how your donation helps change young lives.

We understand that when you make a donation, you want to know where your money goes and how it helps. Well, you’ve come to the right place. Keep reading to have all your donation questions answered and to find out why your generosity is so important

Where does my donation go?

Right now, 1 in 5 children are struggling with talking and understanding words. That means 1 in 5 families are currently worried and desperately seeking support for their child. However, together we can change this.

For every £1 donation we receive, 91p goes directly to helping children struggling with talking and understanding words. This helps fund anything from our advice ine taking calls from worried parents to funding our life-changing policy campaigns.

“The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and reassuring and explained everything clearly and helped me understand it. Thank you for offering a wonderful free service for worried parents!”

How does your donation help?

Most of our donations are unrestricted meaning the money is not for a specific project or programme. This flexibility means that we can spend the money where it is needed the most!

Thanks to supporters like you, last year:

  • Over 28,000 families used our free Child’s Progress Checker
  • We reached over 7,000 professionals who work with children and young people giving them the tools and training they need to support children with speech and language challenges
  • We reached over 8,000 families through regional projects and programmes making sure they have the information and support they need to help their child
