As a parent or carer, trying to understand what support your child needs to reach their educational and social potential can be a difficult process. When you have a child with complex speech and language challenges, that can be even harder.

Speech and Language UK assessments provide families, professionals or local authorities with a joined-up picture of a child or young person’s needs.  The assessment can include a Speech and Language Therapist, Specialist Teacher, and Occupational Therapist. These professionals work together to provide a holistic assessment of each child’s strengths and needs. The in-depth recommendations can make a huge and timely difference to a child or young person’s educational experience.

We assess children and young people aged 3-19 across two sites in the UK with a range of difficulties and specialise in children who have challenges with talking and understanding words. This could include difficulties understanding or using spoken language, speech sound difficulties, social interaction difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, hearing impairments and more.

Ensuring your child has the best support for their needs and choosing the right school will allow them to thrive, be happy at school and reach their potential.
