Aryan and his dad Rishi have been working incredibly hard creating their superhero song ‘Speech Bound’ out now. Rishi told us:

“What started as fun sessions writing lyrics at home soon became something bigger. Together, we created The Speech Heroes, our own superhero characters inspired by our journey. Through music and storytelling, we want to showcase the strengths of children with speech and language challenges.”

Aryan is five and has a speech delay. Although he receives lots of support from his family and community, they see first-hand the challenges he faces every day.

“Through creativity, patience, and encouragement, he is finding his voice.” said Rishi.

1 in 5 children in the UK struggle with talking and understanding words but so many of them are not receiving the support they desperately need. Support from an early age is vital in giving children with speech and language challenges the skills they need to thrive so they are not left behind.

Aryan and Rishi have set their challenge to raise £5,000 for the 1.9 million children struggling with speech and language challenges. Through their song, they’re determined to spread awareness, raise funds and help more children like Aryan have the confidence to unleash their superpower.

Rishi shared a sneak peek of ‘Speech Bound’ with us, saying,

“Aryan’s journey is told through powerful lyrics from the chorus:

Clap our hands, stomp our feet,

Every word’s a super beat!

Step by step, sound by sound,

Watch us talk, we’re speech-bound!

These lyrics represent the joy, determination, and rhythm of speech development. Every word spoken, every sound made is a victory worth celebrating. This song is a tribute to children like Aryan who are finding their voices in their own way—one step, one sound, and one beat at a time.”
