What is No Pens Day?
No Pens Day, created by Speech and Language UK, is a way to raise awareness for the 1.9 million children struggling with talking and understanding words while raising vital funds for the charity.
The day encourages teachers and pupils to put down their pens and d spend the day engaging in fun talking and listening activities. Starting with the UK’s biggest-ever show and tell!
We ask all children participating to donate just £1.
All donations go towards helping to give young people and children the skills they need to face the future with confidence.
Why is No Pens Day needed?
Unfortunately, 1 in 5 children are facing challenges with talking and understanding words. This is the highest figure ever recorded.
We believe that all children who struggle with talking and understanding words deserve to get speech and language support as soon as they need it.
By getting involved with No Pens Day, not only are you helping to raise some much-needed awareness, but you are also helping to fund our work and support these children.
