We are a national charity, running two special schools and working with the children’s workforce on helping children and young people needing help in speaking and understanding.
Every child is unique, so are the problems they face. We need to have sound policies in place to ensure the safety and well-being of those we work with. These policies and statements explain our approach to working with children, young people and other key stakeholders.
We take appropriate measures to ensure that the information we receive is kept secure, accurate and up to date and kept only for so long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is used.

While we aim to get things right the first time, we know we sometimes don't. We are positive about receiving complaints so that we have an opportunity to put things right where they have gone wrong
We aim to keep children and young people accessing our services safe from harm and abuse. Our child protection and safeguarding policy enables us to address any issues systematically
We aim to provide employees with an avenue to raise concerns internally through our grievance procedure and receive feedback on any action taken.
Our policy demonstrates how employees can take the matter further if they are dissatisfied with the management response and reassures employees that they will be protected from harassment or victimisation from co-workers for raising concerns. This policy is also open to external stakeholders.
We believe in a fairer future for all and that everyone has the right to bring their authentic self to work. We also believe we must reflect these principles when working with our wider stakeholders, including the children and young people we are here to help and support
We run two outstanding special schools that are at the core of our efforts to support children with severe and complex speech, language and communication needs.
