We’ve launched our first Crowdfunder!

Following the launch of our Open Letter to Party Leaders, we are excited to announce the launch of our first Crowdfunder! 

Right now, politicians from all parties are putting together their manifestos – and they’ll be hearing from experts and organisations about so many issues. 

That’s why it’s urgent that they hear loud and clear about the 1 in 5 children struggling with talking and understanding words. 

We’ve got a plan to put pressure on the political parties, with ads, briefings and by empowering people across the UK to speak up. But we need to build our campaign fund so that we can get started. 

With a General Election on the horizon, all our voices are getting more powerful as politicians try to win our votes. 

That’s why our community will come together to speak up – families, children, teachers and specialist speech and language professionals – when it matters most. 

The 1.9 million children struggling with talking and understanding words don’t usually get an audience with politicians – but together we can make sure their needs are heard loud and clear. We’ll demand solutions that we know work, from ways to easily spot when children are struggling to proper training for teachers. 

Throughout history people have spoken up on behalf of children to create change. Whether that was to make sure children could go to school no matter how rich their parents were or to put stronger safety laws in place to protect young people.  

Let’s make sure that the next government has a plan so that every child can face the future with confidence.
